About edinburghmuseumsoutreach

I'm the Outreach & Access Manager at Edinburgh Museums & Galleries (the museums service of the City of Edinburgh Council). I take the museums out to community groups and schools. I really enjoy meeting lots of people of different ages and backgrounds and helping them connect with our collections. I love showing people some of the amazing objects that we hold and I like helping them to remember the past or to create something amazing.

I’m so glad the pigeon statues are still about – I loved seeing them at the top of Leith Walk, but thought they’d been stolen, so I’m delighted that they are still available, and hope that one day I might come across them in the street again!

    • Some of the pigeons are currently roosting in our Museum Collections Centre. They were possibly one of the most popular things in the exhibition. I think Leithers have a lot of fond memories of the statues.
