Happy New Year! I’m just back at work after annual leave so there are a few things to update you on.
One of the really big projects this year will be Citizen Curator. This will explore the heritage of Leith through our art and history collections. We will be working in particular with young people and young adults in the Leith area, but we are looking for feedback from all Leithers about what you would like to see in an exhibition about Leith.
Would you like to see historical paintings such as The Port of Leith, 1924, more recent Leith scenes such as Great Junction Street, historical banners such as this Dockers Banner or items from our history collections? If you have any suggestions or feedback we would love to hear your views. You can answer via this blog or email firstname.lastname@example.org. I will be posting about this project quite a bit over the next few months, so I will keep you all updated.
In other news, Adult Education will be running a Hidden Histories course exploring our venues from 25 Jan. You can find out more on the Adult Education website.
